- Environmental cleaning.
- Proper catheter and vascular access care.
- Proper surveillance and disease reporting.
- Respiratory and cough etiquette.
- Describing and promoting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Making Dialysis Safer for Patients Coalition.
- Providing resources for prevention.
