Dialysis Facility Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) reporting transitioned to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) starting November 19, 2020. This reporting tool replaces reporting that was previously coordinated by the Kidney Community Emergency Response (KCER). This COVID-19 reporting includes in-center dialysis, home dialysis, and peritoneal dialysis patients and staff.
Current NHSN users have access to the new COVID-19 Module in the NHSN application on the Dialysis Event home page and must confer rights to Network 17.
If a dialysis facility does not have someone with access to NHSN, please see information on this website for NHSN enrollment. It will take approximately three weeks to complete the enrollment process.
